　　第2張大碟【Harmonium/不同凡響】，Vanessa與大家分享她在追尋真我的過程中面臨的掙扎。專輯以小風琴命名，是希望世人能從這界於鋼琴與長笛之間的樂器得到啟發，學會從混亂中尋求和諧。首支單曲"White Houses/白色小屋"的音樂錄影帶，透過鋼琴家與舞者的雙重角色扮演，Vanessa表露長久以來自己從芭蕾舞者轉為創作歌手所生的掙扎。專輯製作大任由97年以TOP 4單曲"Semi-Charmed Life"走紅的舊金山搖滾團Third Eye Blind主唱Stephan Jenkins擔綱。其中大多數的歌曲都在『不平凡』專輯巡迴演唱中寫成，分別在喬治盧卡斯的Skywalker Ranch錄音室及舊金山、洛城等地的錄音室完成。長達一年的錄製期間，特別前來探班的Lindsay Buckingham(藍調搖滾大團Fleetwood Mac大將)及Pharrell Williams(The Neptunes/N.E.R.D.饒舌怪傑)玩興十足的為"White Houses"及"Who’s To Say"擔任吉他演奏與和聲。Vanessa自己包辦所有詞曲，也和男友兼製作人Jenkins以樂團形式合寫了3首歌。
